History: Hubert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born in the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. After a long history of fighting, Patrick and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Peter was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Theodoric was born with his father's beautiful face. Theodoric liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
