He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has worked as a Priest like his mother before him.

History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by brigands. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When Manfred reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
