Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by giants. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he wants revenge against giants

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and many gnolls want him driven away

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Body Guard.

Motivation: To end his boredom.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Manfred was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Manfred's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and to share knowledge with the world
