Gilbert's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Dean's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Dean liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has achieved small success as a Bowyer.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
