History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He bought a scimitar and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
