His father taught him the rudiments of the Weaver arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aldous fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
