Description: He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. He carries with him a set of hand crossbows, each one with a aquamarine on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. He has moderate length auburn hair. He has gleaming, smiling gray eyes.
Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.
History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Gilbert reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

Description: He wears a simple pastel robe with black stripes complete with hood. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. He has a very tight haircut. His fierce blue eyes like to dwell on things.
Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Hunter's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hunter was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he wears a black vest and prefers green and brown shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. His chestnut hair is unkempt and raggedy. His eyes are brown.
Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.
History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. John took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up lance and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: Balimaar was born with his father's beautiful face. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he is greedy

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. A gifted student he started as a Gardener, but he got bored and became a Glassblower. He tends to his Glassblower job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
