History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Patrick and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cartwright and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To end his boredom.

Description: This western man wears a tight fitting green shirt and pants. His clothes are grease stained in places. He wears a feathered hat to cover his moderate length black hair. His hazel eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has worked as a Gardener like his mother before him.

Motivation: Expand his business; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with Stetson hat. His auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. He has a dull look in his brown eyes.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and someone believes him a fraud

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. His red hair is still thick. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is a great chef.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Miles was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and a deep hatred of illithids
