History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
