Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Shipwright born in the past three hundred years. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Shipwright but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shipwright. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: John hails from a village terrorized by drow. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was born into a rich family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 12 years.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is greedy

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born in the west. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerard was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
