Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Performer for hire.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Lewis speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Lewis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Jocelyn was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Courier. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
