History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Roland abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
