History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shane grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his youth he was a Carter, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shane fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Alexandre is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the south to a Doctor, Alexandre learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Doctor and found it very stressful. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Doctor.
