He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Shane's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance.
