History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Tim was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
