History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A freak accident while working with his Shoemaker mother left him crippled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he seems to be bored by most things
