History: Born in the west to a Map Maker, Shane learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Through the years after Lance was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Lance's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Lance and his spouse have recently divorced.
