Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Gilbert's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: Born in the south to a Courier, Chad learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and balancing his hectic life and new courier responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Trey is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Trey was born with his father's beautiful face. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Engraver and was forced into it by his family; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: Theobald is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He uses divination through singing.

History: Theobald lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Theobald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.
