History: Born in the south to a Butcher, Adelard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has achieved small success as a Butcher.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and sabotage a competitor
