History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Gilbert has worked very hard to control his curse. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
