History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Hubert's homeland. Hubert decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Unemployed work with an outfit from a few towns over. Unemployed work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has worked as a Unemployed like his mother before him.
