History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Heward took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cartwright and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A freak accident while working with his Dilettante mother left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Mortician, and he later adopted a second daughter.
