History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he tends to wear a pastel poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His hair is chestnut and curly. He has a dull look in his brown eyes.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Lance is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Lance was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and doesn't want to be a dilettante and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His first spouse was a Sailor, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult; and expand his business

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Thomas isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He worked as a nervous Sellsword and found it very stressful. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Thomas never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
