History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Nicholas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: Ernest wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by drow. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Soapmaker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born in the east. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.
