History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Dean took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. After a long history of fighting, Dean and his spouse have recently divorced.

He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and many gnolls want him driven away
