He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Balimaar took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up mace and armor he uses now. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Balimaar never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Dyer for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and wants to open a new tavern

History: Born in the west to a Dilettante, Thomas learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
