He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Theodoric was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure.
