Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Bertram liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He's also a talented Scribe, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: He was born into a rich family. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he has passion for adventuring and risk

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born into a rich family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Server.

Personality: Bertram speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
