History: Nicholas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He is a Chromatic Dragon in disguise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born to a Tanner, his mother struggled to pay the bills. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Barber. He now owns his own business.
