By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Healer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Healer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break
