History: Manfred hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Nicholas was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
