History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's also a talented Tailor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with yellow lining and desert motifs. He has moderate length silver hair. His hazel eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Personality: Bernard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
