History: The child of a Bricklayer, who enjoyed hunting, Theobald was taken on many hunting expeditions. Theobald liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His red hair is greasy and uncared for. His eyes are likewise blue.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Clerebold grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. After a long history of fighting, Clerebold and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Hunter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he's in love

Description: He is lean but muscular and prefers to wear flannel. He keeps his long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
