Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Born in the west to a Carter, Dean learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carter. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Dean was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He is mildly Human supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Clerebold was born the youngest of three triplets. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Trey was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
