Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Roland was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Shipwright. Recently the stress of being a Shipwright has made it difficult for him to sleep.
