History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age his father died while driving off some dire rats. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in glaive use. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many dire rats want him driven away
