Description: A moderately attractive man, he wears black leather gloves, a black jacket, and tight pants. He has shaved his head bald. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. John is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: John was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Slave Trader. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Dyer who has hired him part-time. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Born to a Fletcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and sabotage a competitor

Voice: High pitched and raspy

History: He was born in a small forest village. He found a children's book about a Human Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
