History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Bernard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in the west to a Sage, William learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Sage for hire.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: He was born in the east. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
