Personality: Thomas speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
