The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a doctor and was forced into it by his family

History: The child of a Scribe, who enjoyed hunting, Peter was taken on many hunting expeditions. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Peter never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
