This search led him directly into Fletcher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fletcher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Charles lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Theodoric grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he is greedy

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he is content

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
