Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gerald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Gerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Interpreter. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Interpreter for the past few years.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Ploughman for hire.

Description: An older man who wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress), he is not a threatening figure. His blonde hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Peter studied abroad. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and revenge

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Theobald embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. Theobald is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A freak accident while working with his Merchant father left him crippled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and an old rival family wants him found
