History: Richard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Charles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.
