Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Gerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Adam was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Gifted from a young age, Hugh studied abroad. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Shepherd and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
