History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gunter was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He tends to his Ruler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. After a long history of fighting, Gomory and his spouse have recently divorced.
