History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: He got into the Miner business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He tends to his Miner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and many drow want him driven away

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He struck the Laborer job and began his own company from there.
