Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He takes great joy in being the best Carpenter in town.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gilbert grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born in the north. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Manfred is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Manfred was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and he is greedy
