Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dean fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Butcher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and balancing his hectic life and new healer responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Gerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and human compassion
