History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born in the north to a Servant, Bernard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He struck the Servant job and began his own company from there.
