He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
